Storm Hit The Netherlands On Wednesday, July 5, 2023

The storm was the strongest summer storm ever recorded in The Netherlands.


The storm, named Storm Poly, was the strongest summer storm ever recorded in the Netherlands. Wind gusts of up to 146 kilometers per hour (90 miles per hour) were recorded in IJmuiden, and the storm caused widespread damage.




The storm caused power outages, flight cancellations, and train delays. It also downed trees and damaged property. One person was killed in the storm when a tree fell on her car.

The storm has since passed, but the Netherlands is still recovering from the damage. The government has declared a state of emergency in some areas, and there are still power outages and travel disruptions.
