Gurman: Redesigned Magic Keyboard to Accompany New iPad Pro in 2024

Apple analyst Mark Gurman has reported that the company is working on a redesigned Magic Keyboard for the next generation of iPad Pro models. The new keyboard is said to have a larger trackpad, which would address one of the biggest criticisms of the current model. It is also possible that the new Magic Keyboard could have a different design, such as a floating hinge that would allow the iPad to be tilted back more easily.

The new iPad Pro models are expected to be released in the spring or early summer of 2024. They are rumored to feature the M3 Apple silicon chip, OLED displays, and 11- and 13-inch size options. The redesigned Magic Keyboard is also expected to be released alongside the new iPad Pro models.

The addition of a larger trackpad to the Magic Keyboard would make the iPad Pro a more viable laptop replacement for some users. The current Magic Keyboard does not have a trackpad, which can be a major inconvenience for tasks that require cursor control. The larger trackpad would also make it more comfortable to use the iPad Pro for tasks such as browsing the web and editing documents.

The new Magic Keyboard could also have a different design than the current model. The current Magic Keyboard has a floating hinge that allows the iPad to be tilted back to a variety of angles. However, some users have complained that the hinge is not strong enough and that the iPad can sometimes wobble when it is used in a vertical position. The new Magic Keyboard could have a stronger hinge that would prevent the iPad from wobbling.

The redesigned Magic Keyboard is a welcome addition to the next generation of iPad Pro models. The larger trackpad will make the iPad Pro a more viable laptop replacement for some users, and the new design could address some of the criticisms of the current model.

In addition to the redesigned Magic Keyboard, the next generation of iPad Pro models are also rumored to feature the M3 Apple silicon chip, OLED displays, and 11- and 13-inch size options. The M3 chip is expected to be a significant improvement over the M2 chip, and the OLED displays will offer better image quality than the current LCD displays. The 13-inch model is also a new addition to the iPad Pro lineup, and it will be a welcome option for users who want a larger screen.

Overall, the next generation of iPad Pro models looks to be a significant upgrade over the current models. The addition of the redesigned Magic Keyboard, the M3 chip, OLED displays, and 13-inch model make these iPads even more powerful and versatile devices. They are sure to be a popular choice for professionals and creative users alike.
